What to do about shedding. Most dogs shed. Whether they have short hair, such as my English Bulldog and my Chihuahua or perhaps you have a Golden Retriever or even a Husky at home. They shed! Some more than others. And with this Florida weather that we live in, we get no break from it. It comes and goes all year round.
Many people want a solution to help keep up with the shedding. I think that with the answer you are looking for definitely depends on your preference of how you want your dog to look. I don’t mind shaving my dogs, they have short hair anyway, and then I don’t feel the need to vacuum every time I come back into the living room. You can shave all breeds of dogs and please don’t panic, shaving doesn’t mean that your dog has to be bald. You can have me shorten your dog’s hair to a length of your choice.
For those of you that prefer the longer hair on your doggie, daily brushing should be done to help you keep the dead hair from clumping up and/or falling out making that mess that we all dread.
Some doggie owners perfer doggies that do not shed, such as Bichon Frise or Poodles.
Unless you have a breed that does not shed, there are some options to keeping the shedding to a minimum. And if you aren’t sure what is best for you and your doggie, feel free to contact us and we will be happy to help you make the decision that is right.
