Cold Weather Reminder
As all of us Floridians sit in our homes with the heat on..lol, layer our clothing (even though 99% of us are from the north originally!), and probably (if you are like me) have two comforters on your bed at night…do you think about your pets and remember to keep them warm too?? Well, if you are like us, we have a sweater on Littlebit right now (our Chihuahua most of you know) and a nice warm fleece blanket for Lucy (our English Bulldog you know too). Right now they are both curled up, and my pillow will be covered in Littlebit’s shedding fur (tis the season ya know!). They kept looking at me tonight and I could definitely read their minds, “come on…don’t you want to take us for a walk tonight (we do every night)…you know you want to…” I think they forgot that a mere 20 minutes before they had been outside and how quickly they manage to go and rush back in! So I replied, “no thank you!” lol
I know that most people tend to remember their pets in this change of climate that we all know and are not so fond of (since we all moved to Florida for a reason – heat!). They come in and request a longer haircut and even bring in the jackets/sweaters for their dog(s). But, for those of you that might not realize just how cold it is out since you are curled up on your sofa…please remember that your fuzzy friend is just as easily cold as you are. Remember not leave your pet(s) outdoors and keep them safe and warm while we are all waiting for this dreaded chill to end. Not all pets require a coat and as long as you are only taking them out for a short period of time.
